About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform case management to assist and expedite Section 8 vouchers for HPD clients
- Conduct research, maintain records, and generate reports
- Coordinate with tenants to ensure access for apartment inspections
- Review and assign field inspection routes to inspectors
- Utilize HPD Info and Section 8 Elite Programs to manage data
- Answer and route incoming calls using the NEC UC for Business telephone system
- Assist with drafting written responses to tenants, landlords, or management agencies
- Manage electronic and paper filing systems and large mailings
Requirements
- High school graduation or equivalent
- Three years of experience in community work or community-centered activities
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong customer service focus
- Computer proficiency
- Bilingual skills
- Experience with Section 8 or other rental subsidy programs
