About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform case management to assist and expedite Section 8 vouchers for HPD clients
  • Conduct research, maintain records, and generate reports
  • Coordinate with tenants to ensure access for apartment inspections
  • Review and assign field inspection routes to inspectors
  • Utilize HPD Info and Section 8 Elite Programs to manage data
  • Answer and route incoming calls using the NEC UC for Business telephone system
  • Assist with drafting written responses to tenants, landlords, or management agencies
  • Manage electronic and paper filing systems and large mailings

Requirements

  • High school graduation or equivalent
  • Three years of experience in community work or community-centered activities
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Computer proficiency
  • Bilingual skills
  • Experience with Section 8 or other rental subsidy programs
