Housing Officer

Responsibilities

• Conduct arrangements to lease vacant properties quickly and effectively
• Work closely with tenants to assist and support them in maintaining their tenancies
• Carry out property inspections and complete required property reports
• Prepare court and tribunal documents where necessary
• Ensure tenancy and property records are kept up to date in accordance with regulatory standards
• Maintain a strong KPI focus across various performance areas
• Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Contribute to strategies that connect tenants to additional support services

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience working with vulnerable client groups
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products for reporting and administration
• Current Driver's Licence
• Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC)
• Ability to pass a national police history check

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of the Residential Tenancy Act
• Previous experience working within the housing or social welfare sector
