Housing First Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Work onsite at the office and in the field with flexibility to respond to needs
• Engage in client-centered, harm-reduction, and Housing First frameworks
• Forge and maintain positive working relationships with community members and coalitions
• Advocate for person-centered, strength-based, and recovery-oriented client interactions
• Collaboratively develop and implement needs assessments and action plans with clients
• Address ongoing clinical and systemic needs with attention to potential risk factors
• Develop and implement safety response plans as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in human services, social work, or a related field
• 2 years of case management or comparable experience with homeless populations
• Lived experience with substance use disorder, homelessness, or mental illness is accepted in lieu of professional experience
• Familiarity with challenges related to homelessness, substance use, mental illness, and trauma

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree
• Bilingual in English/Spanish
• Working knowledge of area resources and providers
