Housing Director

Responsibilities

• Oversee senior and disabled housing and resident services to ensure high-quality delivery and compliance with HUD regulations.
• Design, manage, and direct program initiatives to meet service level requirements for all residents and funding sources.
• Act as the primary liaison between the organization and local HUD field offices.
• Manage and analyze organizational processes for problem-solving and continuous process improvement.
• Supervise the Assistant Housing Director and Housing Managers, providing training and technical assistance.
• Partner with leadership to represent services to the local community, state, and federal agencies.
• Coordinate with the Facilities Director to ensure site maintenance meets HUD and management standards.
• Monitor adherence to rules, regulations, and procedures across all housing sites.
• Lead the analysis and tracking of state and federal reporting requirements.
• Manage talent acquisition, hiring, and professional development for the housing team.
• Contribute to the budget process and assist in developing funding grants and new opportunities.
• Ensure 100% occupancy rates across all facilities.

Requirements

• 4 years of College Education in Human Services or equivalent professional experience.
• 5–10 years of experience in supervisory or management roles.
• 5 years of experience in budget and financial resource management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
• Valid driver's license and the ability to travel statewide on a weekly basis.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• 6+ years of management experience specifically in an elderly care environment.
• 6+ years of experience working within a nonprofit organization.
• Extensive knowledge of local, state, and federal housing program rules and regulations.
• Established knowledge of local service networks.
