Housing Director

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of on-campus housing for students during the 3rd shift
• Maintain the safety and security of all residential students within the residence halls
• Enforce Housing Policy and the Student Code of Conduct Policy
• Serve as the primary point of contact for student issues, concerns, and emergencies
• Actively engage with the residence hall community through regular tours and program attendance
• Mediate and facilitate resolutions for interpersonal conflicts between students
• Manage operational functions including room checks, health and safety inspections, and key distribution
• Supervise Resident Advisors and provide daily written reporting to the Director of Housing
• Respond to and escalate facility issues, emergency situations, and concerns from families or staff

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience
• Previous experience in higher education with an understanding of university operations
• Demonstrated commitment to college student development
• Strong management and organizational skills
• Proficiency in computer literacy
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work flexible hours and in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse population of students and staff
