About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct intake assessments, pre-tenancy interviews, and manage housing and tenancy waitlists.
- Deliver intensive, trauma-informed case management and wraparound support to women, children, and families.
- Advocate for clients with the Department of Housing and other services to ensure housing stability.
- Develop and implement client-centred case plans, including risk planning and regular reviews.
- Support clients through practical tenancy processes such as utility setup and property maintenance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, external stakeholders, and community networks.
- Maintain accurate and timely case notes, reports, and program data.
Requirements
- Relevant qualification (minimum Cert IV preferred, or degree/Associate Diploma) in community or human services.
- Proven experience in case management, including assessment and trauma-informed support.
- Demonstrated cultural competence and experience working with diverse communities, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.
- Understanding of housing instability, homelessness, and complex needs like family violence or mental health.
- Ability to work autonomously in a remote environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication, advocacy, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and client management systems.
- Full driver licence with no restrictions.
