Houseperson

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of public areas including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and stairwells
• Conduct floor care procedures such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks in guest rooms to ensure cleanliness standards
• Maintain janitorial supplies inventory and ensure proper storage and disposal of cleaning chemicals
• Conduct routine inspections of hotel facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards
• Support custodial operations by managing industrial cleaning tasks in back-of-house areas
• Follow established hospitality protocols and health and safety guidelines

Requirements

• Prior experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services in a hotel environment preferred
• Knowledge of floor care techniques including stripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet cleaning
• Understanding of cleaning chemicals, safety procedures, and proper equipment use
• Ability to work independently during overnight shifts with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to cleanliness
