Housekeeping Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support housekeeping staff in their daily duties
• Manage daily tasks, work schedules, and staff allocations
• Ensure exceptional standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation in guest rooms, public areas, and surrounding gardens
• Identify, report, and follow up on maintenance requirements
• Monitor and control housekeeping supplies, linen, and equipment
• Handle guest requests professionally and ensure an outstanding guest experience
• Maintain accurate records and assist with administrative functions within the department
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality standards are consistently met

Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• 2–5 years of housekeeping experience
• At least 1 year in a supervisory role preferred
• Knowledge of housekeeping standards, cleaning equipment, chemicals, and safety procedures
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• Qualification in Hospitality Management or a related field
