Housekeeping Staff/Hospital Cleaner

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize hospital floors, corridors, wards, OPD areas, and administrative rooms using appropriate disinfectants.
• Perform deep cleaning and sanitation of patient, staff, and visitor toilets multiple times daily.
• Follow strict biomedical waste management protocols, ensuring correct segregation into color-coded bins.
• Adhere to hospital infection control standards, including the use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Perform terminal cleaning and fumigation in high-risk areas such as Operation Theatres (OT) and ICUs under supervision.
• Maintain housekeeping equipment and report any damages or maintenance issues to supervisors immediately.
• Ensure all sanitation areas are stocked with necessary consumables like soap and hand wash.

Requirements

• Minimum 8th or 10th standard pass (SSC) from a recognized board.
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual cleaning tasks, including standing, walking, and bending.
• Willingness to work in rotating shifts, including morning, afternoon, and night shifts.
• Ability to follow strict hospital protocols and instructions regarding hygiene and safety.
• Knowledge of Kannada is preferred; understanding of Hindi is an advantage.
• Prior experience in hospital or commercial housekeeping is a plus but not mandatory.
