About the role
Responsibilities
- Clean and disinfect hospital patient rooms, baths, laboratories, offices, halls, and other areas following established medical sanitation procedures.
- Perform specialized cleaning tasks including germicidal usage, isolation room cleaning, and stainless steel surface care.
- Execute high and low dusting, vacuuming, and both dry and wet mopping procedures.
- Manage bathroom sanitation, including showers, tubs, and commodes.
- Follow all proper waste handling and disposal protocols.
- Maintain housekeeping carts and storage areas in an organized manner.
- Demonstrate CARES behaviors (Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Enthusiasm, and Service) in all customer interactions.
Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
- Ability to lift, carry, or push/pull up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Strong customer service skills.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to work in an environment with exposure to airborne pathogens, bodily fluids, and cleaning chemicals.
