Housekeeping Manager

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation across guest rooms, public areas, and common spaces
• Lead, supervise, and motivate the housekeeping team to deliver excellent service
• Manage departmental budgets, supplies, consumables, and inventory records
• Oversee daily on-the-job training and development for all cleaning staff
• Develop and manage staff rosters to meet operational needs across a 7-day rotating roster
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to uphold cleanliness, safety, and compliance standards
• Collaborate with contractors and other department heads to ensure smooth daily operations

Requirements

• Proven experience in managing a housekeeping team
• Strong ability to control and manage departmental budgets and resources
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to lead a diverse team
• Exceptional time management, delegation, and organizational abilities
• Knowledge of WHS compliance and operational procedures in a hospitality environment
• Availability to work a 7-day roster, including weekends and public holidays
• Must have valid working rights within Australia or New Zealand
