Housekeeping Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day housekeeping operations to ensure a sanitary, safe, and attractive environment for residents.
• Supervise work activities, perform regular rounds, and ensure cleaning crews follow safety rules and instructions.
• Prepare daily assignment schedules and manage routine duties and special cleaning projects.
• Inspect community furnishings for stains or odors and submit maintenance work orders as needed.
• Manage the issuance and return of keys and equipment, ensuring all items are kept in sanitary condition.
• Implement and monitor departmental compliance with all infection control policies and procedures.
• Order necessary supplies, chemicals, and equipment while operating within budgetary guidelines.
• Train, coach, and provide guidance to housekeeping staff, maintaining accurate performance and attendance records.
• Coordinate with other departments and interact with residents to address questions or complaints.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three (3) years of related work experience (or a combination of a college degree and one year of related experience).
• Minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience in a retirement community, hotel, or healthcare setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• College degree.
