Housekeeping Laundry Aide

Responsibilities

• Perform light cleaning duties in Residents’ households including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and cleaning wash basins, mirrors, showers, and tubs
• Clean public and high-traffic areas by mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and washing windows
• Complete cleaning of designated areas in line with established procedures and hygiene requirements
• Operate housekeeping and laundry equipment safely and effectively
• Provide efficient, courteous, and respectful service to Residents
• Follow WHMIS legislation and safe handling procedures for all chemicals
• Work cooperatively with other departments to support operations

Requirements

• Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience in housekeeping and laundry (healthcare or hospitality setting an asset)
• Ability to operate commercial laundry and cleaning equipment
• Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS) check completed within the past 6 months

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Seniors Living or Retirement environments
