About the role
Responsibilities
- Clean and disinfect hospital patient rooms, baths, laboratories, offices, and halls following established medical sanitation procedures.
- Perform specialized cleaning tasks including germicidal usage, isolation room cleaning, and stainless steel surface care.
- Execute dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and bathroom cleaning procedures (showers, tubs, and commodes).
- Manage waste handling and disposal according to safety protocols.
- Maintain housekeeping carts and storage areas in an organized manner.
- Demonstrate CARES behaviors (Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Enthusiasm, and Service) in all customer interactions.
Requirements
- High school education.
- Ability to read, write, and understand labels and instructional materials.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to work in an environment with exposure to airborne pathogens and cleaning chemicals.
