Housekeeping Assistant Specialist I

Responsibilities

• Perform general and heavy cleaning of operating rooms, patient rooms, offices, and public areas
• Vacuum carpeted surfaces and damp mop hard surface floors
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including tubs, sinks, mirrors, and toilets
• Properly dispose of bio-hazardous waste and general recycling materials
• Operate electrical and battery-operated machines for scrubbing, shampooing, and burnishing floors
• Use the Bed Tracking system to log and manage room cleaning status
• Perform terminal cleaning of patient rooms and operating rooms
• Maintain and clean equipment and keep storage areas neat and orderly
• Move heavy furniture and equipment as directed

Requirements

• Ability to understand and follow oral instructions

Preferred Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• 1-2 years of experience in a similar cleaning or environmental services role
