Housekeeper

Responsibilities

• Maintain the general cleanliness of the building, including resident apartments and common areas
• Perform housekeeping, janitorial tasks, and minor repairs as assigned
• Provide laundry services for residents as needed
• Monitor inventory of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment and communicate needs to management
• Follow infection control procedures and safety protocols
• Observe and report changes in resident status, needs, or preferences to appropriate staff
• Maintain required records and use the Maintenance Request Log appropriately
• Adhere to all established policies regarding fire, life safety, and disaster procedures

Requirements

• CPR/First Aid certification
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand for long periods
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment used in public-use buildings
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime
• Strong communication skills in English (speaking and writing)
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a licensed care or assisted living setting
• Twelve or more years of education
