Housekeeper

Responsibilities

• Store, retrieve, and catalogue client belongings according to established procedures
• Clean and maintain all equipment on a regular basis
• Perform bed bug checks and complete bagging and tagging procedures as required
• Report property or equipment damage promptly to the Environmental Services Manager
• Assist with client wellness checks as time permits
• Comply with OH&S Act and Regulations, including the use of personal safety equipment
• Follow all safety and security procedures, including fire safety protocols
• Maintain a safe environment by using caution signs and reporting workplace hazards

Requirements

• Minimum Secondary School Diploma
• At least two years of experience in janitorial, housekeeping, or maintenance fields
• Ability to lift/move objects up to 20 lbs and work in a standing position for long periods
• Successful completion of a Criminal Background Check with vulnerable sector screening
• Completion of a two-step Tuberculosis Skin Test
• Valid First Aid/CPR certification
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training
• Proficiency in operating mechanized cleaning equipment, such as floor cleaners
