Housekeeper

Responsibilities

• Store, retrieve, and catalogue client belongings according to established procedures
• Clean and maintain all equipment on a regular basis
• Perform bed bug checks in conjunction with the Housekeeper Lead, including bagging and tagging procedures
• Report property or equipment damage promptly to the Environmental Services Manager
• Assist with client wellness checks as time permits
• Comply with OH&S Act and Regulations, including the use of personal safety equipment and following fire safety procedures
• Maintain a safe environment by using caution signs and reporting workplace hazards

Requirements

• Minimum Secondary School Diploma
• At least two years of experience in janitorial, housekeeping, or maintenance fields
• Professional knowledge of cleaning methods and procedures
• Ability to operate mechanized cleaning equipment, such as floor cleaners
• Ability to lift/move objects up to 20 lbs and perform physical tasks including reaching, bending, and standing for long periods
• Valid First Aid/CPR certification
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training
• Successful completion of a Criminal Background Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
• Written confirmation of a completed two-step Tuberculosis Skin Test
