About the role

Responsibilities

  • Set-up and strike for sporting events including ground cover, stanchions, hockey glass, and specialized sports equipment
  • Operate motors for scoreboards, gantries, speakers, and moving lights
  • Set-up and strike band gear and associated equipment for pre-game or half-time shows
  • Assist vendors with special effects such as pyro, lasers, and confetti guns
  • Manage arena configuration changeovers between different event types
  • Perform routine maintenance including seat repairs, wall bumpers, and floor/carpet repairs
  • Load and unload trucks and operate forklifts
  • Hang event-related signage and rafter banners

Requirements

  • Basic mechanic skills
  • Experience operating motorized equipment and vehicles (forklifts, pallet jacks, aerial lifts, etc.)
  • Proficiency with various power and hand tools
  • Ability to use electronic devices and mobile software for work orders
  • Ability to perform manual labor for extended periods, including lifting up to 100 lbs
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights above 10 ft
  • Availability for overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

  • Forklift and aerial lift certification
