House Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the residential home in accordance with the CARE model, relevant legislation, and service standards
• Oversee daily operations and provide direct care and support to children and young people
• Act as a visible leader, offering guidance, role modelling, and reflective supervision to the staff team
• Implement and oversee therapeutic care plans to support the wellbeing of residents
• Guide the team in applying Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) techniques
• Mentor staff to foster a strong, supportive, and professional team culture

Requirements

• Diploma in Community Services, Youth Work, or a related field
• Leadership experience in out-of-home care (OOHC) or Intensive Therapeutic Care (ITC) settings
• Experience supporting individuals with disabilities, complex health needs, or behaviours of concern
• Experience connecting with young people with autism spectrum disorder diagnoses
• Current First Aid certificate (HLTAID003 or HLTAID011)
• Current and unrestricted driver's licence
• Ability to clear probity checks, including National Criminal History and NSW Working with Children Check
