About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the residential home in accordance with the CARE model, relevant legislation, and service standards
  • Oversee and implement therapeutic care plans to support the wellbeing of children and young people
  • Provide direct care and support to residents in a residential setting
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of residential support workers, providing reflective supervision and guidance
  • Guide the team in applying Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) techniques
  • Facilitate team meetings and training to foster a strong, supportive team culture
  • Maintain accurate client records and reports within approved organizational systems

Requirements

  • Certificate IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention (or a similar relevant qualification)
  • Proven leadership experience in services supporting children and young people, ideally in residential care
  • Demonstrated experience working with individuals who have experienced trauma or complex needs
  • Current Provide First Aid (HLTAID011) and Provide CPR (HLTAID009) certificates
  • A current and unrestricted driver's licence
  • Ability to clear probity checks, including National Criminal History, WA Working with Children, and WA DCP395 checks
