About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations, maintenance, and "show-ready" state of the President’s Residence (The Davidson House) and Conference Center.
- Lead end-to-end planning and execution of high-profile institutional events, including Homecoming receptions, donor dinners, and holiday galas.
- Act as the primary point of contact for external vendors, including catering, landscaping, security, and HVAC contractors.
- Oversee event hospitality, including menu coordination, seating charts, floral arrangements, and decor.
- Manage household and event budgets, including procurement of supplies and high-end services.
- Provide high-level administrative support to the President and First Lady, managing complex schedules and sensitive correspondence.
- Maintain meticulous inventory of university assets, such as fine china, silver, and archives.
- Ensure all functions adhere to strict institutional and diplomatic protocols.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- At least 4 years of experience supporting executive-level leaders.
- 10+ years of total related professional experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong project management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to maintain absolute discretion and confidentiality.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends for special events.
Preferred Qualifications
- Management or Project Management (PMP) certifications.
- Experience in high-end hospitality or estate management.
