Hotel General Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day hotel operations including the reservations team
• Manage all operational departments such as sales, marketing, housekeeping, front office, and finance
• Manage budgets and ensure adherence to financial targets
• Maintain quality standards regarding hygiene, health, and safety compliance
• Lead the hotel team to achieve performance objectives
• Drive staff training, development, and performance management
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internal policies
• Manage guest expectations and resolve customer feedback and concerns

Requirements

• Recognized hospitality qualification
• Fluency in Afrikaans and English
• Minimum of five years senior management experience in hospitality
• Strong background in rooms division
• Proven experience in revenue management and performance optimization
• Strong understanding of management principles and hotel operations
• Excellent leadership and team development skills
• Proven project management experience
• Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
