Hotel Assistant Manager

Responsibilities

• Support the Hotel Manager in daily operations, ensuring high service standards and guest satisfaction.
• Manage hotel staff by making recommendations for hiring, training, performance evaluations, and scheduling.
• Resolve guest complaints and complications through thorough research and effective problem-solving.
• Oversee front desk operations, including guest registration, payment processing, and end-of-day responsibilities.
• Coordinate with the Housekeeping Department to ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of guest rooms and common areas.
• Promote Odawa Casino Resort marketing programs and stay informed on all upcoming promotions and events.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and professional environment for both Team Members and guests.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in hospitality management or a related field with 2 years of hotel supervisory experience; OR a high school diploma with 5 years of hotel supervisory experience.
• Fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
• Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong basic math skills for handling cash and balancing house banks.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a gaming license in accordance with LTBB Gaming Regulatory Commission regulations.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience with e-reservations or online reservation systems.
• Experience with specialized hospitality software such as Agilysys VisualOne or Synkros.
