Host

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests to the restaurant in a positive, polite, and professional manner
• Coordinate guest seating and manage dining reservations
• Communicate reservations, guest profiles, and specific expectations to management and servers
• Answer all incoming phone calls at the hostess stand
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the hostess stand and entryway
• Oversee the maintenance of reservation equipment, software, and supplies
• Perform general clerical tasks, including the utilization of OpenTable

Requirements

• High School graduate
• Valid Food Handlers Card
• Knowledge of restaurant operations, services, and facilities
• Understanding of California serving guidelines
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic math and computer skills
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 6 hours) and lift up to 30 lbs
