Hospital Office Manager

Responsibilities

• Provide daily leadership to the hospital and partner with veterinarians to drive operational excellence and high-quality patient care.
• Lead hospital paraprofessionals to ensure efficiency, high standards of care, and an excellent client experience.
• Manage day-to-day practice functions including staff scheduling, equipment maintenance, inventory control, and patient scheduling.
• Oversee hiring, training, performance reviews, and coaching of support partners.
• Review monthly P&L reporting and partner with leadership to drive revenue growth and manage costs.
• Maintain a clean and safe hospital environment in accordance with OSHA standards.
• Interface with Petco retail store teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience working in a veterinary practice, or 2+ years of strong leadership experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to make decisions, delegate tasks, and drive results.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and basic computer skills.
• Ability to maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor during stressful or emotional situations.
• Strong planning and organizational skills for effective staff scheduling and resource management.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in a veterinary practice.
• Previous experience with P&L management.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years in a management role, specifically including customer service.
• Experience in data analysis and reporting.
• Licensed Veterinary Technician or Certified Veterinary Assistant.
