Hospital Cleaner

Responsibilities

• Safe handling of chemical and/or hazardous substances during cleaning duties
• Decontamination of surfaces following clinical waste spillage removal by clinical staff
• Identifying and recording any issues related to cleaning services or safety
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness within the hospital environment

Requirements

• Ability to work a 24/7 rotating roster, including early mornings, night shifts, weekends, and public holidays
• Valid Police Clearance (or ability to obtain one)
• DHS Working with Children Check (WWCC) (or ability to obtain one)
• Evidence of immunisation (Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Tetanus, Pertussis, Diphtheria, Hep B, Polio) or willingness to obtain as per SA Health policy
• Positive attitude and commitment to strong customer service
