Hospital Chef

Responsibilities

• Complete meal preparation to the highest standards, ensuring food safety and quality
• Produce meals in accordance with specific recipes and dietary plans
• Ensure all food is stored and handled according to health, safety, and hygiene requirements
• Interact positively with clients to ensure high levels of customer service
• Contribute to a strong health and safety culture by following WHS standards

Requirements

• Australian Trade Certification or Cert III in Commercial Cookery
• Experience in high-volume catering, including bulk catering and banquet/function service
• All-rounder experience across pastries, mains, breakfast, and grab-and-go options
• Ability to work a rotational roster, including early mornings, night shifts, weekends, and public holidays
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing
• Ability to provide evidence of required immunisations as per SA Health requirements
• Current Police Clearance and DHS Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain them)
