Hospice Volunteer Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment, training, ongoing education, and assignments for Hospice Volunteers
• Implement actions to ensure program standards meet regulatory, certification, and company requirements
• Meet with patients, caregivers, families, and the hospice team to coordinate patient care-related volunteer assignments
• Assign volunteers to appropriate activities and monitor volunteer reports, escalating urgent items to supervisors
• Maintain accurate and timely volunteer activity documentation in the electronic medical record system in compliance with federal and state regulations

Requirements

• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite and the ability to learn multiple applications
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance
• Access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent work experience
• Current CPR certification or ability to complete certification within 90 days of hire
• Previous experience working in a healthcare environment
• Proven effective communication and presentation skills
• Proven management and leadership skills
