About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of Hospice orientation programs.
- Serve as a clinical resource for Hospice field staff and preceptors, providing direction and consultation on new procedures and equipment.
- Perform on-site support and orientation to field staff regarding general skill competency.
- Partner with the Quality & Compliance Officer and Hospice Clinical Director to identify and meet ongoing educational needs.
- Provide direct staff training in the office and in patient homes using innovative dissemination techniques.
- Adhere to professional standards of practice, Hospice policies, and procedures to support quality care and reimbursement.
- Participate in Hospice and related committees as requested.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Valid Massachusetts nursing license.
- Minimum of 2 years of Hospice nursing experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Medicare Conditions of Participation for Hospice.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in an educational role.
- Experience developing, implementing, and evaluating education programs for healthcare professionals.
- CHPN certification.
