About the role

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of Hospice orientation programs.
  • Serve as a clinical resource for Hospice field staff and preceptors, providing direction and consultation on new procedures and equipment.
  • Perform on-site support and orientation to field staff regarding general skill competency.
  • Partner with the Quality & Compliance Officer and Hospice Clinical Director to identify and meet ongoing educational needs.
  • Provide direct staff training in the office and in patient homes using innovative dissemination techniques.
  • Adhere to professional standards of practice, Hospice policies, and procedures to support quality care and reimbursement.
  • Participate in Hospice and related committees as requested.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Valid Massachusetts nursing license.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Hospice nursing experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Medicare Conditions of Participation for Hospice.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an educational role.
  • Experience developing, implementing, and evaluating education programs for healthcare professionals.
  • CHPN certification.
