About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, skilled hospice care during overnight hours
- Assess and manage urgent symptoms and provide skilled nursing interventions
- Support families through crisis moments with clinical expertise and compassion
- Coordinate closely with physicians and the hospice team to ensure continuity of care
- Travel daily within the service area to provide care in homes, assisted living, or nursing homes
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing
- Current State License as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum 1 year experience as a nurse in a clinical care setting
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and valid automobile insurance coverage
- Ability to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Hospice or home health experience
- Previous after-hours or on-call experience
