Hospice Licensed Social Worker

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling and casework services to patients and families experiencing terminal illness
• Manage the psychosocial status of patients and families throughout the end-of-life process
• Address the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients and their families
• Support families through the grief and bereavement recovery process

Requirements

• Master's Degree from a school of social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE)
• OR a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Hospice or Palliative Care
• OR a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Hospice or Palliative Care
• Valid LCSW or LICSW licensure to practice in Massachusetts

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare setting
• Previous experience specifically in Hospice or Palliative Care
