Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and oral hygiene
• Assist with meal preparation and mobility
• Maintain patient quality of life in home, assisted living, or nursing home settings
• Develop trusting relationships with patients and families
• Collaborate with nurses and the interdisciplinary care team

Requirements

• Minimum 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training
• Current certification as a nurse aide in good standing on the state registry
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and automobile insurance
• Ability to read and write in English
• Understanding of hospice philosophy and comfort with end-of-life care

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as a Hospice Aide, Home Health Aide, or Certified Nursing Assistant
