About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on support including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and oral hygiene
- Assist with meal preparation and mobility
- Maintain patient quality of life in home, assisted living, or nursing home settings
- Work closely with nurses and the interdisciplinary care team
- Build trusting relationships with patients and families
Requirements
- Minimum of 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training
- Current certification as a nurse aide in good standing on the state registry
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and valid automobile insurance
- Ability to read and write in English
- Comfort providing specialized care to the terminally ill
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as a Hospice Aide, Home Health Aide, or Certified Nursing Assistant
