About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care including baths, grooming, oral hygiene, and linen changes
- Assist with dressing, feeding, meal preparation, and light laundry
- Take and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure
- Assist with ambulation, exercise, range of motion, and patient positioning
- Observe patient condition and report changes to the Case Manager
- Maintain patient safety and proper equipment use
- Support family and caregivers with respite and communication
- Document care provided and follow organization procedures
Requirements
- Active STNA or CNA certification in Ohio
- Completion of 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training
- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to read, follow written instructions, and document care
- Understanding of hospice philosophy and comfort with end-of-life care
- Current CPR certification
- Valid driver's license with insured automobile in good working order
- Satisfactory employment references
