Hospice Aide

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including baths, grooming, oral hygiene, and linen changes
• Assist with dressing, feeding, meal preparation, and light laundry
• Take and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure
• Assist with ambulation, exercise, range of motion, and patient positioning
• Observe patient condition and report changes to the Case Manager
• Maintain patient safety and proper equipment use
• Support family and caregivers with respite and communication
• Document care provided and follow organization procedures

Requirements

• Active STNA or CNA certification in Ohio
• Completion of 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training
• At least 18 years of age
• Ability to read, follow written instructions, and document care
• Understanding of hospice philosophy and comfort with end-of-life care
• Current CPR certification
• Valid driver's license with insured automobile in good working order
• Satisfactory employment references
