Responsibilities
- Perform personal care needs and attend to patient requests promptly
- Provide positive communication to patients and families while maintaining confidentiality
- Use medical equipment safely and properly
- Provide personal care including baths, oral hygiene, and changing bed linen
- Assist with dressing, undressing, and feeding
- Plan and prepare nutritious meals as assigned
- Take and record vital signs including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure
- Observe and report changes in patient condition to the Case Manager
- Assist in ambulation, exercise, and range of motion exercises
- Assist with self-administered medication reminders
- Maintain a clean and orderly living area for the patient
Requirements
- Active STNA or CNA certification in the state of performing duties
- Completion of minimum 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training
- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care
- Current CPR certification
- Licensed driver with a reliable, insured automobile
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
