Hospice Account Referral Specialist

Responsibilities

• Develop business partnerships and drive hospice referral growth through strategic sales contacts, calls, and presentations.
• Serve as the primary staff liaison with physicians, healthcare facilities, discharge planners, and community agencies.
• Manage the overall development and referral growth of an assigned territory.
• Create and implement weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual territory plans to achieve growth goals.
• Dedicate 50% of work time to making community sales calls alongside business development representatives and transition liaisons.
• Assist in securing referral partner contracts and service agreements with key accounts.
• Meet with patients and families to discuss hospice services, address individual needs, and obtain signed consent documents.
• Maintain detailed customer and competitor profiles, logging daily call activity and follow-up plans.
• Collaborate with internal patient care resources to ensure effective communication with referral sources.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in hospice or home health sales (or a related industry) with a proven record of achieving incremental growth.
• Valid Florida driver’s license.
• Valid automobile insurance.
