About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide sustained, individualized academic advising to Honors College students, including course selection, registration, and degree planning.
  • Maintain a dedicated caseload of students, serving as a consistent relationship from enrollment through graduation.
  • Monitor academic progress and proactively intervene with students showing signs of difficulty by connecting them to university resources.
  • Collaborate with Honors College faculty to support vocational formation and student calling.
  • Participate in Honors College co-curricular programming, student experience initiatives, and recruiting activities.
  • Serve as a visible, in-person presence to support a culture of accessible and relational advising.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of one year of professional experience in academic advising, student services, or a related higher education field.
  • Proficiency with student information systems and degree audit systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with high-achieving students.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and exercise professional judgment.
  • Commitment to the mission and Christian values of Regent University.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate work in higher education, student development, or counseling.
  • Two or more years of experience in academic advising.
  • Experience contributing to student programming or co-curricular initiatives.
