Homeroom Teacher

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality instruction to Cycle 1 students (ages 5-8) using inquiry-based and play-based learning approaches.
• Differentiate instruction and assessment to meet diverse learning needs, including EAL (English as an Additional Language) learners.
• Utilize educational technology, such as interactive whiteboards and G Suite/Microsoft 365, to enhance classroom practice.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive guidance strategies.
• Maintain strong communication and collaborative relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Use formative and summative assessment data to inform teaching and student progress.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Education (B.Ed.) or a relevant subject area combined with a PGCE or Teaching Diploma.
• 2-3 years of full-time, post-qualification teaching experience in a primary school setting.
• Demonstrated experience with the British National Curriculum (EYFS/Key Stage 1) or American Common Core State Standards.
• Valid and recognized teaching license/certification from your country of origin.
• Proficiency in G Suite for Education or Microsoft Office 365.
• Ability to meet ADEK (Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge) licensing requirements.
• All academic qualifications must be eligible for official attestation and UAE Ministry of Education (MOE) equivalency.

Preferred Qualifications

• Specialization in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Primary Education.
• Prior experience working within an international school environment.
• Experience with the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP).
