Homeroom Teacher

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality instruction to KG and Cycle 1 students (ages 5-8)
• Differentiate instruction and assessment to meet diverse learning styles, including EAL learners
• Implement age-appropriate pedagogical approaches such as inquiry-based and play-based learning
• Utilize educational technology, including interactive whiteboards and G Suite/Microsoft 365, to enhance classroom practice
• Maintain effective classroom management and positive behavior guidance strategies
• Foster strong, professional relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
• Use formative and summative assessment data to inform teaching and learning

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Education (B.Ed.) or a relevant subject area combined with a PGCE or Teaching Diploma
• 2-3 years of full-time, post-qualification teaching experience in a primary school setting
• Demonstrated experience with the British National Curriculum (EYFS/Key Stage 1) or American Common Core State Standards
• Valid and recognized teaching license/certification from your country of origin
• Proficiency in G Suite for Education or Microsoft Office 365
• Ability to meet ADEK professional licensing requirements and undergo the UAE teacher licensing process
• All academic qualifications must be eligible for official attestation and MOE equivalency

Preferred Qualifications

• Specialization in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Primary Education
• Prior experience working within an international school environment
• Experience with the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP)
