About the role

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end execution for a portfolio of operational workstreams, ensuring adherence to SLAs and deadlines.
  • Map, document, and continuously improve processes to reduce cycle time, error rates, and unit costs.
  • Build and maintain trackers and dashboards in Google Sheets to monitor speed, accuracy, and cost metrics.
  • Use tools like Jira, Confluence, and Salesforce to manage work intake, ticket routing, and status updates.
  • Apply AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) to draft SOPs, summarize cases, and automate repetitive tasks.
  • Partner with Accounts Payable and Finance to support invoice processing, reconciliations, and vendor issue resolution.
  • Create and maintain clear documentation, including process maps, SOPs, playbooks, and runbooks.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in operations, business operations, or a similar execution-focused role.
  • Strong proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel (pivot tables, lookup functions, etc.).
  • Experience working with workflow tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Salesforce.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools in a professional capacity to improve productivity.
  • Ability to work onsite from Opendoor’s Phoenix office on a full-time basis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in residential real estate, proptech, or adjacent industries like mortgage or home services.
  • Experience in Accounts Payable, invoice processing, or high-volume financial operations.
  • Familiarity with KPI design (SLA adherence, turnaround time, error rates) and BI tools.
  • Exposure to process-improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
