Home Health Aide

Responsibilities

• Provide patients with in-home personal care and designated health-related services to maintain physical and emotional well-being
• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, hair care, dental care, nail care, and skin care
• Assist with patient transfers (e.g., from bed to chair or wheelchair) and use of bedside commodes
• Perform household tasks that are directly essential to the client's personal care
• Report observations regarding the client's condition to the agency director or accounts manager
• Drive safely and comply with all traffic regulations when business travel is required

Requirements

• Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation (or access to public transportation)
• Current CPR certification
• Successful completion of a basic training program in home health aide services (or an equivalent approved exam)
• Ability to work flexible hours and work independently
• Ability to function in diverse home environments regardless of the client's background

Preferred Qualifications

• 6+ months of professional home care experience
