Home & Community Assistant

Responsibilities

• Provide domestic assistance including light house cleaning and meal preparation
• Deliver personal care such as showering, daily hygiene, and monitoring health and wellbeing
• Support skill development and social engagement for clients
• Facilitate community access for appointments, social events, and shopping
• Promote independence in accordance with individual client needs and goals
• Establish rapport and collaborate effectively with clients and their families

Requirements

• Australian Driver’s Licence and a reliable vehicle with minimum third-party insurance
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificates
• National Criminal History Record Check
• QLD Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
• Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to travel to support multiple clients within Toowoomba and surrounding areas
