HOLT Model Development Analyst

Responsibilities

• Conduct empirical and academic-style research to develop the HOLT systematic equity valuation model and downstream analytics
• Analyze company life cycle dynamics, including growth, profitability, and competitive dynamics
• Develop new quantitative scorecards, frameworks, and datasets for client use
• Research and enhance methodologies including cash flow forecasting and alternative scenarios
• Design, test, and validate framework enhancements using historical financial datasets
• Contribute to published written research and internal documentation regarding investment implications
• Assist with model governance, monitoring, and the integration of macroeconomic and alternative data
• Develop reproducible research workflows with strong documentation and coding practices
• Partner with Model Technology and IT teams on analytical design and implementation priorities

Requirements

• BS or MS in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or another quantitative field
• 1-5 years of relevant professional experience
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills with experience analyzing large datasets
• Solid understanding of financial statements, company valuation, and equity markets
• Proficiency with R, SQL, or Python
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Databricks and Spark
• Experience with statistical analysis, forecasting techniques, or financial data modeling
• Interest in the publication of long-form research papers
