Holesaw Weld Operator

Responsibilities

• Set up, change over, and operate automatic blanking, heat treat forming, and robotic TIG welding equipment for various size holesaws
• Load shells and cups onto robotic pallets or manually into TIG welder chucks
• Visually inspect each saw for weld quality, including roundness, weld height, and penetration
• Adjust machine settings such as speed, length, position of stroke, and seam/cup current for proper heat
• Perform rework or scrap any products found to be out of specification
• Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and organized condition
• Follow all safety rules, regulations, and practices to ensure a safe working environment

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to use numbers including decimals
• Knowledge of charts, specifications, and micrometers
• Ability to perform light physical effort, including lifting, pushing, or pulling 5 to 25 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 to 2 years of relevant manufacturing or welding experience
