Holesaw Weld Operator

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate automatic blanking, heat treat forming, and robotic TIG welding equipment to manufacture various sizes of holesaws
• Load shells and cups onto robotic pallets or manually into TIG welder chucks
• Perform visual inspections of each saw for weld quality, roundness, weld height, and penetration
• Adjust machine settings including speed, length, position of stroke, and seam/cup current
• Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and organized condition
• Follow all safety rules, regulations, and practices to ensure a safe working environment
• Record production data and report equipment malfunctions or material defects to the Foreman

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 1 to 2 years of relevant manufacturing or welding experience preferred
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to use numbers including decimals
• Knowledge of charts, specifications, and micrometers
• Ability to perform light physical effort, including lifting, pushing, or pulling 5 to 25 pounds
