Hoist Operator 2

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to move finished product for shipping or storage
• Supply Manufacturing Department with materials as needed
• Stage product to be moved or shipped
• Rack unused supplies and maintain inventory of type, amount, and location
• Transport and process manufacturing paper by-products
• Perform routine daily inspections on hoist and report maintenance needs
• Perform battery service duties including inspecting, recharging, and replacing batteries
• Adhere to all safety policies including hazardous waste handling and lock out-tag out rules

Requirements

• Proficiency in operating fork lift and/or clamp trucks
• Ability to judge load dimensions, weight, and balance
• Knowledge of storage area layouts to locate and place items
• Skill in maneuvering equipment through narrow aisles, ramps, and vehicles
• Ability to operate controls for starting, stopping, and backing in tight spaces
