About the role
Responsibilities
- Participate in all aspects of ABO and donor histocompatibility testing
- Determine donor's HLA and ABO initial typing within turnaround times
- Perform HLA Typing using Real-Time PCR method
- Conduct routine equipment maintenance
- Assist with quality control and quality assurance
- Participate in transplant on-call rotation
Requirements
- Doctoral, master's, or bachelor's degree in chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science, or medical technology
- Or an associate degree in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology
- At least five years of experience testing in an accredited Histocompatibility or Immunological lab
- Active CHS (ASHI) certification
- Availability for on-call requirements from 6PM-8:30 AM, 7 days per week
- Ability to work 3-5 shifts minimum per month
