Histotechnology - Part-Time (Adjunct) Faculty

Responsibilities

• Teach curriculum developed by the department for the Histotechnology post-graduate certificate program
• Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning in both classroom and online environments
• Prepare and provide syllabi for all assigned sections in accordance with department and divisional policies
• Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies, utilizing modern instructional technology
• Evaluate and return student work in a timely manner to promote learning
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and submit final grade rosters by established deadlines
• Maintain strict confidentiality of student information

Requirements

• Minimum of an Associate's degree required (Bachelor's degree preferred)
• Minimum of one (1) year of professional work experience as a histotechnologist or histotechnician
• Demonstrated skills in using modern educational technology, including multimedia-based instruction
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a culturally diverse community

Preferred Qualifications

• HT or HTL ASCP credential
• Evidence of successful prior teaching experience
• Demonstrated commitment to improving student learning through innovative instructional strategies
