Histotechnologist II

Responsibilities

• Perform histological preparations for tissue whole exome/genome sequencing
• Prepare tissues, stained slides, and perform macrodissection
• Conduct testing, reagent preparation, and equipment preparation
• Participate in validations and reagent qualifications
• Monitor case management to ensure department TAT goals are met
• Update and create Standard Operating Procedures
• Provide oversight of personnel and daily laboratory operations
• Train staff on department procedures and perform competencies
• Troubleshoot equipment and processes

Requirements

• HT (ASCP) certification required
• 2+ years of related experience
• Associate's or higher degree in a histotechnician program, or a degree in chemical/biological sciences with specific histology training/experience
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• Proficiency with Google Suites and Microsoft Office
